Growth Leads to Relocation for MicroPath Laboratories

Lakeland, FL May 2, 2008 – MicroPath Laboratories, a local anatomic pathology laboratory, has relocated their headquarter offices and laboratory to 1125 U.S. Highway 98 South in Lakeland, Florida. The move is in direct relation to the company’s consistent growth. As the local market leader in anatomic pathology services, this move will enable MicroPath Laboratories to further enhance the level of service to their clients.

“This is a very important milestone in our journey. Our new facility will not only allow us to more efficiently serve our patients and clients, but more importantly, will allow us to move forward with molecular technologies,” said Craig D. Lariscy, M.D., president and medical director of MicroPath Laboratories. “We have served this medical community for the last 40 years. This state-of-the-art laboratory will allow us the flexibility to perform at the highest level of service for the next 40 years.”

The new facility features 19,000 square feet with close proximity to many of the company’s clients and is situated near the Polk Parkway, allowing for the company to expand their presence throughout Central Florida.

MicroPath Laboratories is an independent consultative and diagnostic anatomic laboratory staffed by board certified pathologists with sub-specialty fellowships in the areas of breast, cytology, dermatopathology, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, gynecology, hematopathology and molecular pathology. MicroPath Laboratories serves hospital laboratories, ambulatory surgery centers, endoscopy centers, multi-specialty medical clinics, national clinical laboratories and more than 500 physicians throughout Central Florida. Formed in 1968, the company is privately held and headquartered in Lakeland, Florida.
