Responsibilities

1. Screen PAP smears in a fashion consistent with national professional standards
2. Either by personal performance or direct supervision, insure the proper procedures are performed regarding the preparation of all cytology specimens
3. Follow the safety and biohazardous procedures established by the lab
4. Attend mandatory in-services provided by the lab
5. Comply with all lab policies and procedures
6. Do 10% QA for Supervisor on Cytotechnologist
7. Treat pathologists, co-workers and clients honestly and respectfully
8. Perform any job or task assigned by the Lab Director or Manager that is not restricted by his/her licensure

Requirements

Current Florida State Cytologist Supervisor License

All the criteria based duties and standards within this document will be performed according to established policies, procedures and guidelines within the department.
